Richmond 34: The Silent Victory
The LM Bray Jr. 34 Foundation is a nonprofit organization that commemorates a pivotal moment in the civil rights movement, when 34 courageous students from Virginia Union University took a stand against segregation by staging a historic sit-in at an all-white department store in Richmond, VA. Their act of peaceful protest on February 22, 1960, challenged the status quo and ignited a wave of change that resonates to this day.
At the heart of Richmond 34: The Silent Victory is a commitment to preserving the memory of this remarkable event and honoring the bravery and resilience of the individuals involved. Through education, advocacy, and community engagement, we seek to ensure that the legacy of the Richmond 34 continues to inspire future generations to strive for justice, equality, and social change.
At L.M. Bray Jr. 34 Foundation, we take a personalized approach to fundraising. We work closely with each of our clients and partners to understand their unique needs and goals, and we develop and educate our clients to better understand the history of Richmond 34 and the importance of peaceful protesting.
Your contribution will enable us to support our employees and continue operations. We are very grateful for your generosity.
